C.F. Booth Limited is one of the largest independently owned metal recycling and manufacturing companies in Europe, and exports an extensive range of products Worldwide.
History
Established in 1920 as a metal purchaser and trader, C.F. Booth Ltd has developed into one of the largest independently owned metal recycling companies in Europe and is now a key figure in the import and export of materials Worldwide. In 2012 the company achieved the Queens Award for International Trade, which emphasises our position in the metal recycling industry.
In 1989 our copper alloy melting division was introduced predominantly to give service to the foundry industry as a supplier of copper based alloy ingots for re-melting purposes.
Our ingot manufacturing department has been in operation since the 1980’s and has developed into one of the largest manufacturers of copper based products in the United Kingdom.
Background
After a period of considerable growth in our manufacturing operations accompanied by a significant investment in research and development, it was decided in 2004 to add to our product range with the introduction of large billets and slab forms through our permanent mould casting process.
C.F. Booth is a major supplier of material for use in the marine, oil and gas and defence industries and our products are used in many safety critical applications.
We have a range of melting facilities on-site which includes modern coreless induction furnaces and rotary furnaces.
Our highly sophisticated cable granulation facility allows us to produce high purity copper granules for a variety of uses. Cable is processed in an environmentally friendly manner, by extracting the copper while creating a secondary product from the polymer outer which itself can be used in all kinds of applications.
