CF Booth closely monitors each and every single process involved in the manufacturing of our alloys and we obtain quality throughout whichever service we provide to our customers, and our operations are carried out to conform to our Quality Management System approved by ISO 9001:2008.
The full process of services from start to finish are as follows:

Stage 1
The manufacture of any copper based alloy in a variety of sizes dependent on the required finished dimensions.

Our cast sizes include:

  • 10”
  • 14”
  • 16”
  • 20”
  • 25”
  • 29”

All material conforms to specification through our extrinsic quality system and is analyzed by x-ray / spectrographic analysis.

Stage 2
The material is then forged by any of the following methods in order to improve the grain structure and mechanical properties of the material.

Types of forging processes include:

  • Forging – GFM, Press Forging, Hand Forging, Ring Rolling
  • Heat Treatment

Other processes available to improve the properties of the material include:

  • Rolling
  • Stretch Straightening

Stage 3
Prior to cutting to size, a test piece is taken accordingly for mechanical testing and izod impact. Also, ultrasonic testing to establish sound length and dye Penetrant inspection to identify possible defects is available when requested.

On results of these tests, the bar is then cut to the customer requirements as necessary.


Stage 4
Once the material has been cut to size, it is then machined as per customer requirements. The different types of machining available are as follows:

  • Proof Machined – Pre-machining products by turning down or milling to size, and supplying a semi-finished product.
  • Finished Machined – We are able to machine our products with precision, engineering to supply you with a finished product.

Stage 5
All our material is tested by a selection of the following methods, depending on the customers’ requirements and specification:

  • Mechanical Testing (Standard on all material)
  • Izod impact testing
  • Ultrasonic testing
  • Liquid dye Penetrant testing
  • Hardness testing
  • Radiographic (X-Ray) testing

Stage 6
All material is securely identified, labelled and packaged, and is accompanied with certification containing the customer’s order, chemical properties and test results, provided as standard with all products. Where any testing has been carried out, relevant certification is also provided.
